Tippecanoe schools ponder what's next with vouchers

The passage of the most expansive school voucher bill in the country Wednesday was a legislative victory for Gov. Mitch Daniels, but it's a "slap in the face" to public education in the eyes of local school officials. The bill, which passed the House Wednesday with a 55-43 vote, will offer school vouchers of up to $4,500 for parents who send their students to participating private schools. The bill now heads to Daniels for his signature.
