IDEA schools recruiting teachers

Despite the budgetary crisis facing public school districts throughout Texas, IDEA Public Schools plans to hire more than 100 teachers for the 2011-2012 school year. IDEA schools will host a teacher recruitment event from 5-8 p.m. today at the Brownsville Events Center. We are looking for teachers and school leaders with a proven record of student achievement to become a part of the movement that is revolutionizing education, Torkelson said. Teachers have the incredible opportunity to not only change students lives but also to transform an entire community from one generation to the next.
