Nebraska Numbers Need Explanation

State releases reading, writing, math scores
While educators in the Scottsbluff Public Schools were pleased with the state reading scores, the scores in math need to be improved. Curriculum Director Mike Mason said the math scores were lower than he and other school district officials expected. But Mason said this was also the first year for the statewide math assessment.
