Biddle: Let students ride Metro for free

DC City Council member Sekou Biddle introduces legislation that would allow students who travel to school by bus or Metro to ride for free. Biddle did so after seeing the Anacostia Metro station packed with school-age children, some as young as five or six, getting ready to travel outside of their neighborhoods to go to school. He said it demonstrated the lack of decent education options nearby that compel families to send kids on lengthy morning commutes and how much families have to pay for that disadvantage.
