Prince George's executive pushes for performance standards
Prince George's County Executive Rushern L. Baker III (D) is known for taking on controversial education topics and is continuing to do so with one of his latest efforts: easing the removal of ineffective teachers. "We have to look at ways we can aggressively remove teachers who aren't doing a good job from the classrooms," Baker said during an editorial board meeting Feb. 17 with The Gazette.
