Neither of Jennifer Oliver's two children have ever been assigned to the schools they wanted to attend in Lee County. So Oliver, 39, enrolled her kids - now in fifth and eighth grades - in a charter school. Oliver, a Fort Myers resident, says the system isn't working. She joined about 50 other parents, teachers and students Thursday to voice their concerns over the county's current school-choice system at a public forum on the differences between school choice and neighborhood schools.
