Schools accused of cheating collected thousands in bonuses
"I've never known teachers to celebrate or to look forward to it or to aspire to achieve it. It was only $1,000 a year and by the time Uncle Sam finishes with you, you barely see that $1,000," Verdaillia Turner, president of the Atlanta Federation of Teachers said. "I think they can discontinue it without repercussions or without anyone losing sleep."
