ANN ARBOR: Students to begin taking new standardized test, costing district nearly $100K a year
The Ann Arbor Public Schools conducts new standardized test Sept. 14 through 28 titled "Measures of Academic Progress," which will be given three times a year in total. "The Measures of Academic Progress test will be administered across the district to all students in grades K-5, Scarlett Middle School and Ann Arbor Open at Mack," Ann Arbor schools Director of Instructional Technology Anne Reader said. "The test will be administered three times per year in September, January and May. The purpose of the MAP is to provide data on students' growth over time in areas of math and reading so that teachers can use it to inform instruction."
